now serving entrepreneurs and private businesses. The firm was founded by two Chartered
Accountants who met over at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Here is the firm’s story.
Raffael Mazze, CPA, CA, LPA
Raffael Mazze is an avid golfer and entrepreneur who enjoys studying the stock markets. Having graduated from University of Toronto, he knew that finance, investing, and business was his forte. He was one of the few that was recruited to work with Deloitte and started his path toward the CA designation.
Having worked at Deloitte in the Audit and Advisory group, Raffael developed valuable skills by serving large public and private companies and expertise in various industries such as consumer business, financial, retail and manufacturing. After years in Deloitte, Raffael decided to expand his horizon as a professional by joining the Tax Group over at PricewatehouseCoopers.
Kunal Parshotam, CPA, CA, LPA
Taking on a new role in PwC in the tax group, Raffael met Kunal Parshotam. Kunal originally wanted to explore the arts as he is talented in visual arts and loves to paint and sketch. However, he found an interest in business and he developed a specific liking for accounting and finance.
He graduated from Ryerson and started his career over at KPMG where he specialized in assurance in the private enterprises group. Kunal developed valuable skills and expertise in working with large private companies and had the opportunity to work in many industries from manufacturing, real estate, retail, and logistics.
From PwC to MP Group
Kunal and Raffael had a great opportunity to grow and learn at PwC. Both being entrepreneurial from the get go, one day over coffee, they explored the idea of starting their own practice. After realizing that they were not growing any further and had spent over 8 years with big 4 accounting firms, they decided to part ways with PwC and founded MP Group.
It was not an easy step in the early years; however, as both Raffael and Kunal were passionate about helping entrepreneurs and business owners, it was easy to see things through. Through delivering high quality service you would expect from big 4 accounting firms and word of mouth, the firm started growing rapidly.

MP Group is a full service Toronto accounting firm now based off Yonge and Lakeshore. A full service accounting firm specializing in three buckets: 1) Assurance 2) Tax 3) and consulting. As both partners are licensed, the firm can provide an opinion and prepare review level or audit level financial statements for businesses. The partners at MP Group are passionate about what they do and enjoy working with businesses. The fact that they are entrepreneurs, they can relate to private business and pay special attention to their needs and goals.
